I like the sweater – where can I get the pattern?
OK, the first thing I thought of was Peter Jackson’s first film Bad Taste. Jackson, playing an alien-cannibal hunter, falls off a cliff and loses part of his brains. He put a belt around his head to keep the rest from falling out.
Perhaps she’s an alien-cannibal hunter?
The belt helps her communicate with the mother ship.
hmmm, maybe she has a headache? And old friend of mine’s father used to say tie a tie around your head when you have a headache. Maybe she heard somethin’ similar…

Even funnier is that she’s trying to look at the damn forehead belt. Perhaps it holds a secret. Hmmmmmm.

Hmm, she has a look like she’s smiling through the pain, doesn’t she? Or maybe through the fear? Perhaps the photog is actually a zombie, posing as a professional knitting book photog, and has employed the head-belt as a way to measure the yummy brain treats held inside (ala how cannibals act in every Bugs Bunny cartoon). She suspects but does not know FOR SURE what is going on.
And it is a nice sweater.

I once made a baby blanket in that pattern and almost that same color. It was very nice as a blanket.
How did cinching a belt around the model’s head EVER seem like a good idea? How?
ha! i had a sweater exactly like this one. with a turtleneck. it was blue.
but i never once wore a belt on my head like that. yikes.
