OK, so much for trying to put together some kind of coherent post. I’m just going to toss out random stuff that I feel you should know: One sock is almost done, I’m just debating about how long to make it. Since I did toe-up, I have this luxury. My calves are a bit on the tree-trunky side, so I usually prefer a shorter sock. And yet, I feel compelled to try to use all the yarn. I[...]
Well, it’s Easter and with the preponderance of bloggers posting photos and step-by-step instructions about dying yarn and roving lately, I have decided that eggs and wool are not the only thing that should be able to enjoy a dip into the dye pot. It’s a good thing Bobby is such a shrimp, otherwise he never would have fit out the window. And since he was the one who shut the door[...]
You gotta love a post that starts with those words, don’t you? But first, let me get the knitting stuff our of the way. Here is a new picture of the Tropical Shawl, all blocked. I don’t know if it looks much different than the previous pictures of it, but it had definitely changed. It’s less sproingy, flatter, more mature. I gave it to Charlene to send off to Florida today. I’ll miss it. I may have[...]
