What a lovely touching story about Maxx’s sweater, he looks such a sweet little guy and i’m sure he simply LOVES his sweater he’s very photogenic isn’t he?No wonder Ronnies late mum thought so much of him and no doubt he loved her just as much.

I’m with you on the grommets. My mom made me a corset once, and I had to do my part by “inserting” the grommets, meaning pound the crap out of them in the garage with a hammer. They are detestable little rascals and I applaud your stick-to-it-iveness.

And I love Maxx’s sweater. Love.

The dog sweater is absolutely fabulous and such a great story, too. I am sure it meant alot to your friend Carolyn. So cute!

Where did you come up with the pattern for that felted flower? (I’m sure it is something that every other knitter under the sun probably already knows but maybe I missed the secret meeting….)

Grommets are evil… My tried and true method? Needlenose pliers to gently pull the leaves apart, then crochet needle and hammer from there on out. I might have felt bad once for using a crochet needle, but I discovered I had three of a kind of the same exact size- so one sadly was sacrificed to the grommeting gods. It also teaches a lesson to those misbehaving crochet needles that don’t like yarn of any type…. “This could happen to you”… it keeps them in line.
