That's a lovely sweater. It looks great on you. As for a sock pattern my favorite is "Tiptoe" over at knitty. It looks intimidating but it's easy to skip the intarsia on the heel and even the color changes, and then you have a good, basic sock in a perfectly understandable pattern.

Oh, I have Cotton Plus in that Kiwi color and you’re right – photos don’t quite seem to capture it. Great job on Bonne Marie’s Scoop and absolutely love the feline models.
