I was knitting on the couch last night, minding my own business when my man comes and lays down ON TOP of me. I'm mid row, working something that requires at least a passing attempt at attention, and I still have another 70 stitches to go. He starts watching TV so I attempt to contort myself to finish the row. He finally crieds out "Pay attention to me!" which made me laugh and think of this blog entry. I pleaded that he let me finish the row and I put my knitting down and gave him a big ol' hug. Boys are funny. I can’t believe it! We watch a television program that he loves, something with lots of explosions and sweaty people waving guns, and I knit. He's so entranced he doesn't notice that you'd have to pour hot coffee in my lap to get my attention, and I get uninterrupted knitting time :) He has been complaining lately that my yarn purchases seem to be cutting into our entertainment budget though... He tugs at my needles or yarn, put his head in my lap, etc. Thankfully, his mom is the one that taught me to knit, so there's not much he can do about it.
